The Internet of things makes tasks in corporate environments easier
TOK is a connected object for reserving conference rooms. The object, developed mainly for corporate users, is easy to use, discreet and has a contemporary design, to blend in with the environment, regardless of the identity of the company where it is installed. From a distance, only the ring of 24 LEDs is visible to help users identify time slots available.
Users can reserve the room either from Outlook or Google Calendar or by adding 30-minute blocks from the physical interface available at the entrance to each room.
Developed using the Particle platform
TOK was developed using the Particle Internet of things (IoT) platform, which interacts with a Microsoft Exchange or Google Calendar server that manages meeting planning and room reservations. This makes it possible to connect the physical object to the Particle.io service layer in the cloud, one of the most reliable on the market. The management and configuration interface was developed using Django.
A bot for TOK
New functionality will soon be added in the form of a bot system that uses an artificial intelligence language. Users can send a request via their messaging system, text message or the Slack collaboration platform asking TOK to reserve the room.
