When shopping just got easier

Ivanhoé Cambridge

The owner of 42 shopping centres in Canada, Ivanhoé Cambridge wants to make its properties true shopping destinations and improve the online customer experience.

A robust solution, brand experiences

The shopping centres that are part of the Ivanhoé Cambridge investment portfolio were managing, deploying and maintaining websites on their own. This decentralization created problems in the consistency of messages between properties, costs and respect for governance. The company wanted to develop a reliable, standard digital ecosystem that would rationalize costs and maintenance efforts.

A year to deploy 20 sites for 20 properties

Valtech developed a unique CMS platform that could be reused by shopping centres and developed the visual identity for each site deployed. The templates were produced with the Django CMS framework, and business units can reuse the design, templates and functionality, in addition to adding their own personal touch.

The design of a unique interactive map

As part of this project that involved multiple redesigns, an interactive map was created with Django. It is based on Google Maps data and integrates to the Google Street View engine. This map was the first project for the interactive indoor Google Maps. User-friendly, customizable and reusable, it has the advantage of integrating to any SaaS. It allows users to find the store they are looking for in just a few clicks
